Alien: Isolation details leak thanks to Xbox listing

Alien: Isolation Alien: Isolation

Further details on Creative Assembly’s upcoming Alien: Isolation game have been revealed thanks to a listing on Microsoft’s Xbox Game Store.

The game has technically not been announced yet, although Creative Assembly (the studio behind Total War) confirmed it was working on an Alien title back in 2011. Artwork for the title is already circulating thanks to a separate leak in December 2013.

The listing details a survival horror game set 15 years after the original Alien movie and featuring Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda, as she tries to discover the truth behind her mother’s disappearance.

“As Amanda, you will navigate through an increasingly volatile world as you find yourself confronted on all sides by a panicked, desperate population and an unpredictable, ruthless Alien.

“Underpowered and underprepared, you must scavenge resources, improvise solutions and use your wits, not just to succeed in your mission, but simply to stay alive.”

Modes include online multiplayer and online co-op for up to four players. As you might have expected, the listing for Alien: Isolation has since disappeared.

The most recent video game outing for the franchise was Gearbox’s Aliens: Colonial Marines, which was greeted with an almost-universally negative reception and functioned as an exercise in lowering expectations.
