Wired to hold a one-day summit Wired Health on 29 April, 2014

Wired will be holding a one-day summit Wired Health, at 30 Euston Square on 29 April, 2014, it is announced today.

Designed to introduce, explain and predict the coming trends facing the medical and personal health industries, Wired Health will gather insight from scientists, entrepreneurs and thought leaders crafting the future of health, and offer a tight focus on this sector.

Wired Health will cover a variety of topics including: data-driven health; personalised medicine and genomics; synthetic biology and 3D printing; bionics and robotics; neuromedicine; and tackling diseases and new vaccines.

“Wired Health is the next step in Wired’s mission to celebrate the ideas, developments and people reshaping our world, continuing to build on the success of our acclaimed annual October conferences, as well as our summit focusing on finance. We’re pleased to now be turning our attention to the world of medical science,” explains David Rowan, editor of Wired.

Aimed at a high-level executive audience, attendees will enjoy the opportunity to network with like-minded, intellectually curious individuals from the sector including physicians, senior healthcare executives, innovators and investors, disrupters and incumbents.

Confirmed speakers so far include Sir Mark Walport, chief scientific adviser to HM Government; Catherine Mohr, senior director of medical research at Intuitive Surgical; Billy Boyle, co-founder of Owlstone Nanotech; Andrew Thompson, co-founder and CEO of Proteus Digital Health; Wall Street trader and neurophysiologist John Coates and Claire Hooper, CEO of DuoFertility.

An evolving list of confirmed speakers can be found on the Wired Health website.

There are a limited number of tickets available for Wired Health, at a price of £995, with a 10 percent discount available to “early-birds” until 28 February. Wired subscribers have access to a 15 percent discount.
